This'll be interesting to watch. BaT normally goes nuts over miles like this, but BaT also is normally pretty muted when it comes to Evoras. It's like the unstoppable train vs. immovable object.

 

I hope the new owner checks for oil line recalls and replaces the rubber oil cooler feed and return line with the updated steel one.

 

Didn't realize that was even a thing on the Evoras...

 

At least for 2011 S cars it was....

1. Recall 12V-447 VVT oil pipe replacement
2. Recall 13V-314 Oil line recall
3. Recall 14V-280 replacement oil hose kit

4. And, Toyota TSB T-SB-0201-11. Not recalled by Lotus but 100% should have been. Replace rubber engine to exchanger oil feed/return lines with solid lines for 2010- 2011 cars.

2GR-FE TSBs and other part updates

So lately I've been trying to solve the low-rpm chirping on my car, and that has lead me down a path of wondering if maybe some of the Toyota TSBs that apply to the 2GR-FE in other vehicles should apply to ours as well. I found on various Toyota forums TSB for all sorts of engine noises...

Yeah I saw this pop up today as well - super curious where it ends up. Looks like the all-time record for an S1 on BAT is...$84.5k?

 

Evoras generally don't get the same love on BaT as Elise and Esprits. This will be interesting with it being virtually a new car.

 

Looks like it went for $64K. If you go through the comments it seems like there were a lot of questions about the ownership history. The seller said that the original owners relocated to the UK in a hurry and basically abandoned their cars after just having bought this. To be honest it did sound a little sketchy...one commenter pointed out that in rare cases assets can be clawed back by the gov't if there was some questionable stuff going on. Seems like someone got a good deal because of that.
