Any clues?

I wasn't even aware until I just googled.. guess we'll find out more next month. (33 days from now).
The silhouette on their website suggest something the looks more Emira-like than a Seven. If it includes AC and a stereo and at the right price point it might prove quite popular, I'd sure love a simple EV sports car for my daily commute, tho kinda doubt it'll hit the states. :(

Wow! Just saw this car and it is legit the first EV sports car that remotely excites me!! I love that it is lightweight, drop dead gorgeous, and hopefully not unobtainable in price… That and hopefully it will come to the states! If Lotus’s first EV sports car is similar the future may be alright!

I’m glad that Lotus is ending combustion on a good note with the Emira, but this is what I wish they were putting their energy into. I finally have an answer for what car I’d be interested in for EVs (because I don’t think the Evija is within grasp). I’m curious if Mazda and Toyota/Subaru will try to keep their cars below 3000lbs too. Or if this will be the new lightweight benchmark while everyone else prioritizes range?

Front and profile styling is reminiscent of the Maserati MC20 and rear end similar to the Alpine A110 within the footprint of the Alpine, very good things. I'm a die hard ICE/manual transmission lover, but beautiful, relatively light things like this can definitely sway me.

I see Caterham has figured out what an electric Elise should look like. They're claiming the chassis is aluminum and carbon fibre, and the picture suggests a space frame design. I am curious about the rigidity they'll get out of that.

Pity Geely isn't building it, but at least somebody is. Looks good, too, though definitely more of a spiritual descendant of the original Porsche 911 than anything Lotus.
