Center exhaust

I really like the look of the center exhaust VS the side exhaust but hate the lower valance that lotus used. To me it looks like a super cheap afterthought. Has anyone used something different or no valance at all. Please post pictures of a center exit exhaust that does not have the cheap looking metal piece.
