i've searched online and through the forum to find all the paint code information i could but i also wanted to see if there were any owners out there that had a body panel painted and had success somewhat matching the rest of the car.

from what i've found, there were 2 links showing the paint code and some information for krypton green

Paint codes - TechWiki
this link shows the paint code to be B109 and it's under the metallic category but it also has "mono" in it... i'm not 100% sure what "mono" means... if it means a single flat color that is non-metallic, then what's it mean to be under the metallic category.

http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f92/paint-codes-6279/
then there is this link which shows krypton green MY2005... same B109 paint code so i guess it works for the MY2006 exige... this information says something about EFFECT which i believe means metallic... and the notes says dayglo green w/ gold met layer.

so if i wanted a shop here in the US to paint krypton green, is B109 all they need? is there a particular brand of paint that is preferred?

If you are having a shop do it, then you should just have that shop get up with either Lotus NA or Lotus UK. If you pass them misinformation, then you'll be stuck with it. If they get it wrong on their own, then you'll be fine. Delayed a bit, but fine.

Speaking from experience from when my car was repainted to be Chrome Orange. That is a multistep paint, and apparently it turns salmon-y if you don't use the right base coat. However, the shop then corrected it on their own dime since they knew they screwed it up. Had I just forgotten to tell them all the steps, then I would've paid for two repaints instead of one.
i see. i also read some threads on chrome orange and i think chrome orange is even more complicated... there were 2 codes or something like that...

Correct. And the shop ordered just the orange code the first time instead of both. I don't know the process for krypton, but my understanding is pretty garbled since there is pretty often confusion of krypton, isotope, and even the year. I've had enough bad experiences with shops that I lean towards CYA (cover your a$$), especially with something as pricey and sensitive as paint.

With that being said, I hate it when people don't answer the question, so I do sincerely apologize for not answering the original request for just a paint code. You asked for paint, not my opinion, so feel free to ignore me!
no worries. :)

thanks but that's one of the links i included in the first post.

i was able to get some additional detailed information from lotus... maybe it will help someone else in the future.

B109 is the Lotus paint code
X1388 is the Axalta stock code
1 Represents the Value Shade 1 white primer to be used
The 1% AM76 is the solvent gold pearl added to the clear coat at 1% to provide the effect.

B109 KRYPTON GREEN X1388 1 TINTED CLEAR 1% AM76

If you ask your paint shop to use Axalta Cromax materials they can obtain the relevant formula and clear coat information using the Axalta stock code X1388 on the Cromax website (Link below)
The website has a link called Chromaweb which accesses the formulation database but they might have to register first.
The database may have a tri-coat formulation for this colour as well as the tinted clear version but I’m not sure about solvent availability in the US. They may be able to get hold of the AM 76 gold pearl tint over there and use tinted clear.

Cromax UK

This used to be DuPont before they were bought and the brand name was changed.
