Is this an oem key for 2005? Help

Did anyone get these keys when lotus was purchased new, it's a 2005 key fits, fob doesn't work i put a new battery,still doesn't unlock does it needs to be programmed? And whats that chopped key in the book? Master key, valet parking? Lol i dont know

That is not an OEM key/fob. There have been a number of aftermarket key/fobs produced that take the original fob guts and puts it into a more elegant package.

The OEM key has a black plastic handle without any markings. The OEM fob is a Cobra alarm fob that looks like testicles. It is connected to the key ring with a rubber link that is prone to break.

Replace the battery in your fob and try resync per the following directions.
