Had a shakedown test day at BW today, nice to be back in the car on a track and not in the office (!)

Sills are more like very wide running boards and keep the car very clean - and like others I have that hoover/hair buzzer thing on my car a la' Brent and Tim (muchas gracias guys)

I really love it, couldn't stop staring at the car. I thought it was going to have a big Innovative Mounts sticker on the side?

Holy Cow Batman! Can you still clear speedbumps? Will it make it into the gas stations at Lost Hills?

Very cool!

haha Andy, I am pretty sure I can run around buttonwillow faster than I drove today - they threw me in the race group and I certainly wasn't the fastest out there by any stretch of the imagination. I wasn't running my timer either - I haven't been on a track since...Streets in the early spring? Everything was too fast so just slowed it down and got reacquainted with the car. Kris from DRS came out for support, we tried some different throttle settings, etc. it was great. And I gotta say driving back home in the subie is a million times more relaxing than driving home in the lotus -

oh the other effect today had was I have very little interest in building out the sc/motor on the subie now lol - it's pointless, this little grey monster I have is crazy fast (we'll see how long this lasts)

The proportions on the diffuser are almost cartoonish. Same with the spoiler. Pretty cool.

Hey AJ what is the model of the pump you are using for your heat exchanger system? It looks like mine finally took a crap in the last lap of my last outing, post intercooler temps were 110-120 all day then suddenly shot up to 250, the center heat exchanger was cool to the touch so looks like nothing was flowing to it. And are you running one or two? water and oil temps were great all day, the side mount definitely is working very well -

That is just sick! I love it.

I'm glad to hear the new oil cooler location is working better :)

I'm using this meziere pump: Meziere Enterprises

Itss a monster though and if it is seeing any air its far more likely to cavitate than the little bosch pumps. I'm just running one of them.

You sure your pump didn't just find an air pocket and cavitate?

highly possible...the water in the reservoir wasn't really moving either, looked like tiny drips if anything - did u damage your pump ever from air?

#23 ·
yup. mine is currently damaged. still works but doesn't flow as much as it should and doesn't sound healthy. I need to pull it out and send it in for a rebuild. The way I've replumbed my IC system wont allow it to cavitate anymore.

Speedtrial, typical crazy day. I think I saw...6 full 4wheel offs, this guy buzzed me into phil hill, then proceeded to go way too hot and was sideways at the crest into a full nasty off. Good day to go out and test stuff, not a great track day, more like prep for Jack Streets event on the 14th...you coming?

This has to be my favorite Elise!! Quick question, what kind of wing mounts are those? APR? I know the wing is APR..
