So, as most of you already know, next year's LOG (or, I guess, LUG) is in Salt Lake City. That's where my son and daughter-in-law live. I floated the idea with my wife of doing a road trip. She's down with it, so far. Of course, the issue is that it is almost 4,000 miles round trip. If we do it, we will break up the drive by taking about two weeks for the trip. It's an 8+ hour drive for three days (each way), just to go from here in East Tennessee and return.
I've never been worried about the car handling a trip, but also never taken on one so long.
My car is a 2012 S with almost 95k miles on it. It is well maintained and before I bought it, dealer maintained (no dealers near enough to me to do that, even if I wanted to pay for it), and it will definitely go in for a very thorough check-up and have all the fluids changed before the trip.
What do you folks think about a trip so long in an S1 Evora? We could trailer it, but to me, that would take all the fun out of the road trip and cost a significant amount. We don't currently own a suitable vehicle for that job, or a suitable trailer, so would have to rent them.
picture just because......
