Did a stud conversion and am running project mu lug nuts. What lug nuts did you use?
hb!Replaced my corroded original lugs w/ titanium replacement from GRP. Pricey? Yep. Better looking w/ my polished wheels? 100%. Perfect birthday present to me.
Nice! Did you mold the housings? So I made my own headlights. With my own DRLs and improved factory DRLs. Custom projectors and CF buckets, Also bye bye chrome.
No I skinned them because the headlight buckets are fragile and will break if you sneeze in the same room.Nice! Did you mold the housings?
Haha, that's why I asked. Definitely not the most impressive pieces if you've had your hands on headlights from other cars.No I skinned them because the headlight buckets are fragile and will break if you sneeze in the same room.
There are quite a few issues with our lights. The biggest one being that the angle of the plastic lenses dims the light output. Most headlights radiate perpendicular to the lens and that is the shortest path through the thickness of the plastic. Ours is so angled its almost parallel and takes the longest path. My headlights are waaaay brighter without the lens. I polished the heck out of my lenses too. Along with the depth of the projector in the assembly…. we get what we get. Rant over.Haha, that's why I asked. Definitely the most impressive pieces if you've had your hands on headlights from other cars.
I’m probably going to buy an extra headlight and 3d scan it. I didnt have the time with my own. I met my car show deadline within 2 days. It took me almost a month to design, acquire, and work on everything. When I was making replacement DRL boards for mine I thought I was going to break something every time I picked up the lights. I had to epoxy several of the thread inserts back in, the sealing is atrocious, and the lens is so soft that I had a miserable time trying to polish them- need to revisit that.
B Is for Build on Youtube 3D printed a set of headlights for a Murcielago rebuild- I was curious if you had done something similar. He didn't achieve great results (IMO) but I think with a bit more time and better materials this is ripe for improvement. At $XXXX each from Lotus a similar quality alternative that addresses some of the other issues would be welcome.

I've got a fresh passenger side light and an original drivers side light following repairs from a deer strike. I was considering removing the drivers side and trying to reseal it, considering it is now the only one that fogs up occasionally. Now i'm scared. Maybe i'll just wait til the seal fails on the pax light so they'll matchI had to epoxy several of the thread inserts back in, the sealing is atrocious...
Funny, I debadged mine during PPF and have not looked back..but I like seeing it there again on yours. Def personal preference. I think in the end I thought it was slightly too large for that rear end, the rear end is just so f*cking amazing looking that it took away from the overall look, and it throws the balance out...just a bit too much. I took the Porsche letters off my 911 and in the end put them back on because they need to be there ultimately IMHO, it just did not work. So far I have yet to see my Lotus's beautiful rump and think I need to put it back.I added the OEM Evora 400 decal to the rear bumper. But after having gotten to know it debadged, I'm not sure if I like it! I put it on over my ceramic coating so it would be easy to remove, and may well do so on it's own. I'll keep it for a bit and see if it grows on me.

I agree that this is the problem.I think in the end I thought it was slightly too large for that rear end...
