What is the Silver wheel color paint code?

I'm looking at doing custom paint on my Lotus Cup wheels, and I wanted to match the silver they came with.
Does anyone know the official code for the silver?
To pay homage to the Type 25, I want to have the "barrels" silver and the spokes the saffron yellow. (B106)

I'm not going to powder coat them.

Most likely it will be a wheel refinishing company. A rep for them said it would cost less if I could supply them with a paint code? 🤔

I've searched for that and the blacks to no avail. Shop color match like Eldon posted is about only option other than complete repaint.

Go to a body shop with a wheel and ask if you could borrow their paint chip books and pick one close. You might be surprised on the sheer number of silvers though. Stick to euro cars like BMW as I doubt they have a book for Lotus. Put the chip on the wheel and look both straight on and from the side. Then expose to a bright light. Face tone, side tone, and flake size/quantity are what you are comparing. I don't remember ever seeing a published paint code for wheels from Lotus.

Good video on color match

  • Spectrophotometer:
A specialized digital tool called a spectrophotometer is used to scan the paint surface.

  • Measure light and color:
This device measures the exact shades of color, as well as texture and shine, using different light angles to account for factors like fading or weathering.
With the info from this tool they put it into their color match computer for paint mixing.

Try reaching out to SeriouslyLotus.com. They will respray Lotus factory wheels to a different color if they don't have your desired color in stock, and I bet they know the factory paint codes.

Lotus and the wheel manufacturers guard the wheel paint formulations like Fort Knox for some reason. I repainted my Esprit wheels over the summer and chose PPG Argent Silver. I couldn’t tell the difference between Argent Silver and stock AWI “Sterling Silver”. Plus I now have the exact paint code for future repairs.

And yet touchup paint vendors can sell you their wares based only on paint code. Perhaps they reverse engineered them, IDK.
