Debating a Splitter/lip - What are peoples thoughts? Whats even out there nowadays besides GRP. My car is pretty much original, which makes me not really want to add one, but i also want to protect my clam.

Do most people view lips/splitters as hiding something or are they more viewed as just "Whatever"

Thanks

More stealthy options being polycarbonate plates or some kind of impact resistant narrow pieces that stick to the clam in areas that always make contact first.
Small titanium skid blocks could also be an option, but feel like point of least resistance might mean ripping out a chunk of clam unless mounting really well thought out.

Found this thread from a user that might still make them

I've considered a front splitter as well. I like the look of the smaller ones (I don't need it for downforce), and would like to cover the scrapes that came on the underside of my front clam. My main concern is clearance. I built a mockup of the GRP splitter out of cardboard to make sure it would get in and out of my driveway, and on and off of my lift. It barely cleared everywhere - except driving straight onto the lift, where it hit solidly. Good thing it was made of cardboard. Likely a solvable problem with a little lumber...but haven't quite pulled the trigger on one. If you're selling that Gut Sport, I may be interested. I sort of like the canards... 😁

Depending on tire size you use or if you have adjustable suspension the splitter will help with front downforce especially at high speeds. At speed above 125 mph I found the splitter helps with stability. I have one of the originals like the GRP one and it has taken some abuse from tire slings etc but I did re-enforce it with some bar stock AL strips with 3M 4600 adhesive.
