Low40K for well driven to 50K+ for low miles. Can top 70K for "special/limited" edition

Given recent auction results, a stock-like 'driver' with miles on it is probably not 40k. Maybe if it's a really popular color or if the moon is bright in the sky and it brings out someone with more dollars.

2005 Lotus Elise - 6-Speed Manual, Touring Package, Accident-Free Carfax Report (the one I purchased)

Prices spiked on BaT with super low mile, good color offerings - but people posting theirs for sale for ~$40k and "some stories" on the forum are not having much luck. Tons of "this will sell immediately!" comments and then the thread is still up 2, 3 months later.

In other words, still about $30k... lol

It's winter. Like I posted in other threads the market slows down in the fall and almost dries up in the winter. Many cars are already in storage for the winter in many parts of the country. This is all the time. The economy, covid and end of the hand built Lotus spurred a buying spree this last year like we've never seen. It's now a buyers market as it's always been and as soon as spring approaches it turns into a sellers market. I watched for a year before buying mine and had looked back a couple of years and it always held true. All one needs to do is look at BaT results and then look back two or three years and you can see the price trends but I don't think it's broken down by month. By waiting to the end of summer and into the fall I was able to negotiate the price of mine down 4K.

7 years later, seems like Elise prices are still sticky.
Even a BAT Elise with 14k miles only gets bid to $43k
Meanwhile, other $30k cars have doubled and tripled in the last few years!

I was the second highest bidder on that and seriously considered going higher, but there were some competing auctions and recent sales that suggested that price was above market…
