GT430 front splitter fitting

Hey guys,
Im hoping someone can help
I'm trying to fit the OE GT430 front splitter to my GT41O Sport.

Can while installation seems relatively simple, i can't quite understand why there's a void between the undertray and the front chassis legs.
Is there a spacer that sits between the undertray and the chassis

Any help would be appreciated

The undertray is different. Since thee GT430 tray attaches to the splitter and the splitter sits lower, the tray itself has a roughly 1" bracket more or less that connects to the chassis.
