Hello, I have downloaded and used the20/20 sw and it worked great for me. I would love to have a more dealer access version. I am new to this forum and not sure how to directly message you. Could we possibly exchange messages via email or some other private way??
I know how to essentially fully unlock the 20/20 software to dealer level but concerned about the implications of sharing that knowledge. Plus if someone did make that public then it would probably be locked down more/fixed?

@Catsailr27 I assume a message button will appear somewhere ?? is this automatic or does someone have to manually set it up?? sorry for hijacking this thread for this noob question.
It takes about an hour for the system to recognize you once you've met the minimums. There are threads explaining this in the New Members Intro forum. You also have website tech support or you can PM me directly. https://www.lotustalk.com/forums/website-account-support.24/
You might want to check out the FAQ located at the three dots in the upper right.

Thanks for the advice, I have read PMs are " conversations " however when I click on @Catsailr27 avatar picture, I get basic info but I dont see any button for conversations, or PMS/DM anywhere?? Again, apologize for noob questions.

That's strange and I'll check into it. Normally it's to the right of follow under the replies, discussions created, reaction score, etc.

It appears the system was in process of updating a new offer and you being new were caught in the middle. You should be able to see after logging out and back in.

This is interesting as I currently have a wrench light I'd like to investigate and my nearest dealer is a very long drive away. Shame it's so costly for one diagnostic session. 20 GBP per hour is outrageous.

I have a OBD2 scanner. I’m currently throwing some evaporative emission codes, but I don’t know how to pinpoint the problem.
Would a software like this be more specific?
20/20 doesn't work with regular OBD2 adapters, only J2534-compatible VCIs. I would think that for evap issues, those should all be OBD2-readable codes though, not the non-MIL wrench codes. What code(s) are you seeing?

I would say there's something not right with the purge canister closure valve (CCV); either there's a short in that circuit, or the valve itself isn't working as intended. You can test the operation of the valve manually by applying 12V to pin A and ground to pin B.

Also, check fuse R13, as the CCV gets its voltage from that.

Fuse is good and putting 12v across the valve makes a valve noise.
.5 Mohm resistance with the engine off.
From the ECU side, pin A1 on the 48-way center connector is for the CCV output. I'd check that you see 12V there, and also at the valve end with engine running.

I think I may have misread the service notes, and the specific codes you mentioned belong to the purge solenoid, not the canister valve. Try the same tests with the purge solenoid; 12V on pin 1, ground on pin 2. The ECU connection for the solenoid output is B3, also on the center connector.

My situation is I have recently R&R the motor, so the evap system has been completely removed and reinstalled by me... along with everything else LOL so it could literally be anything. I do appreciate your pointers, I do want to get this figured out.

No worries. From what I can gather, the evap system, and its various system checks, are all based off the vapor pressure sensor reading, in conjunction with specific timed events for the purge solenoid and canister valve. It checks for leaks at startup, and then monitors continuously as the vehicle runs.

From a vacuum system perspective, you have to ensure there are no leaks at the gas cap/fuel filler neck and tank interface, the fuel pump assembly gasket, the tank breather pipe, the charcoal canister, the canister valve, and the purge solenoid line:

Since many of those hoses needed to be disconnected to R&R the motor (assuming an engine-out scenario), I'd probably start there. Maybe a cracked hose, nipple, or fitting. If you have a smoke tester, you could insert it on the other side of the purge solenoid to test everything downstream of it. Or insert at the throttle body connection, and apply voltage to the solenoid to test it as well.

Are you changing the user type flag from independent to dealer? If so is this a memory editor job, or have you had to play around in dotPeek/IDA?
I'd be really keen on building an open source diagnostic/flashing solution, defining the ECU tables, etc.
