I'd be really keen on building an open source diagnostic/flashing solution, defining the ECU tables, etc.
So you need to check what I've already done: Flashing K4, T4, T6 have already be tested. The definition for the 2ZZ 2008 is very complete and available for free and multiple cars already have been tuned with it. On request, I do have some other definitions too for the Lotus Elise S3, or the Caterham Seven (with the Lotus ECU).

On what model would you like to work? The Evora and Exige S3 have the same engine but the memory layout is different and require separate definition. Later V6 with more power have a closed loop fuel pressure control, which require again others definitions.

He does, yes.

Secret receipt;) The Lotus 20/20 is written in .NET, so dotPeek or dnSpy are good weapons.

Really interesting work on your github! I'd like to look into the 2GR-FE, my car is the V6S club racer.

I've worked a bit on the Exige V6 Cup, and I do have a begining of a definition file for it, but I think this won't work for you, probably too much differences.

If you are really motivated, give me your ECU Calibration ID in PM and I will point you in the right direction to start.

Ok I can also confirm that the BOE cable works. I purchased it thinking I was going BOE tune but after learning the max rpm is not adjustable i am going the Motec route. Thought I may have wasted money on something that I do not need but glad I have it now. Downloaded the software, made an account and paid the 20lb. Read my codes, cleared them and the wrench light went out for the first cycle but 2 codes came back so I know I have a couple of issues to fix. DTC’s that come up are.

ECM, P1113, Noise Flap Circuit, Confirmed.
TCU, Problem communicating to vehicle. I guess this is normal for a Manual car
SRS, B1052, RH pretensioner hight resistance, Active.

Anyone have experience with these? The P1113 is coming up as IAT issue. Will need to see if this will be an issue with the new ECM As it uses a post SC temp sensor.

The B1052 is easy. When I took the interior apart the connector to the right seat belt was not in the best shape. Guessing the connection is bad or the pre tensioner is defective. Both of those are easy fixes.

For the P1113 do you have the vacuum solenoid still connected that is used for the stock intake? Maybe it is moving around causing some electrical noise.

Correct on TCU errors when in a manual car, and likely the case with the seatbelt connector.

Ahhhh yes, I do not have the stock intake. I have the BOE and that connector is not connected to anything. Forgot the stock intake had a “Noise Flap”. That code must be normal for BOE intake cars and does not cause the wrench light. It must just be the pre tensioner causing the light. Thank you.

Yeah you can leave the solenoid connected and just zip tie the thing somewhere in the bay that is how I have it for both of mine. Step D here:

Well hell, When I put the engine back in is when I just installed the BOE intake. Not normal for me but skipped the directions. Anyone know the resistance is that solenoid? All those parts have been discarded.

Thank you so much, but let’s hold off for now. If this error is coming out of the ECU then it probably will not be an issue once the Motec ECU is installed. If it is I will let you know. If it is not an issue you will be able to do some weight reduction on yours once you ECU is installed.

Sounds good, it's also a Toyota 90910-12088 for future reference.

I have a Koldfire OBD cable that came with my car and from my searching I think it will not work the same as a Tactrix cable for Fastworks but will it work as a pass thru device for 20/20? If not it looks like the cheapest way to be able to use the 20/20 software is to purchase a Tactrix cable is that correct? The two pass thru devices listed by Lotus are pricey and I was looking for the most inexpensive means of utilizing the 20/20 diagnostic software.

You can find a few knock-offs of the Tactrix Openport 2.0 cables on Amazon/ebay/AliEx that should work with the 20/20 software.

Yes I saw those thanks! I just wanted to rule out this Koldfire cable before hitting ebay. The ebay cables are a much cheaper alternative than the Lotus approved boxes but I'm sure they're no where as sophisticated as them.

I’m having the software crash straight after login. Running a fairly up to date windows 10 laptop I have seen previously a screen to define the cable but it’s only shown it me the once. Has anyone resolved this problem or is it linked to needing a cable connected and/or active subscription to move to the next step? I’d have thought it would allow you to get setup and tested before it demands a subscription?

Whos doing your MoTeC wiring, this is what I love to do :)

Unless you have a Paid Subscription it will not let you launch the software.

Wouldn’t have harmed for them to have put a pop message there in the software would it.
If you have a suitable cable connected it will pop up with a message saying you don't have an active subscription.

But agreed the software isn't very use friendly when you just want to look around and not use it.
