Just wanted to give some information on the Lotus 20/20 Diagnostic Software that anyone can run to pull data and flash their cars.
From there you can download the software (It is Windows only FYI)
You will need a J2534 Pass-through Device to connect the computer to the car. Lotus lists these 2 as compatible.
I personally have the CarDAQ Plus 2 that I found on ebay.
Once you have the device connected and the software installed you will then need an active subscription. You can buy a subscription for 1 hour/day/week/month/year. I just buy an hour for ÂŁ20 (it seems to actually be longer than an hour anyway)
With an active subscription you can then connect to the car and scan the car (or enter the vin). It'll then ask for the current ODO reading. And then you will be presented with a screen like this.
Vehicle DTC Scan will search all systems for fault codes. So you get ECU, TCU, ABS, and SRS
Then you can also see some data about the ECU. It includes version numbers and emissions data.
For ABS, SRS and TPMS it just scans the systems, shows any codes and gives a readout of the software for the respective system. You can't trigger any functionality or do any further testing.
IP (Instrument Pack) seems to be for adjusting the Speedo and possibly changing from KPH and MPH (but it's not very clear to me)
And lastly you can also flash newer versions for the ECU and TCU. Which your car may or may not have one available. Welcome | VSI also shows the latest versions for your car.
To start you need to create an account on the website Lotus Independent Portal
