If you have a suitable cable connected it will pop up with a message saying you don't have an active subscription.

But agreed the software isn't very use friendly when you just want to look around and not use it.
Ditto, you have to already have a recognised cable at least installed/driver installed then it will ask you which cable to use, otherwise it just silently closes

Does anyone have experience using 2020’with tactrix on an 07 Elise? I am active and was able to connect with my car and read ems details. I fear I might have a modified cal and want to revert it to stock. Asking how deterministic their flashing operation works

If you aren't sure what you've done already then probably best to stop.

I can start a new post somewhere but would it be worth me making a new application for diagnostics on these cars?
I can only do so much without having spare ECUs or modules to test with though so I don't know if people have spares to lend?

I have spares. I could probably even setup a bench rig that you can connect to from your location so you just need wrap can in ip/udp. Dm me.

;) Stopping is not my style. Vision with both the tactrix and mongoose cable did not get my ecu flashed from the stock tool, complained about an ABS k line issue. Id imagine the dealer might have got stuck as well and would have offered to sell me a new ecu instead?

the GitHub T4e tool worked perfectly, and I got F121 on legitimately and passed emissions test with the correct sw and cal

There is a need for a such tool. Seriouslylotus is already working at it. Have a look at their facebook page.

Oh that's interesting. Do you have a T6 ECU?

I could eventually offer a remote access to a VM with the T4e or the EBC430 too.

I did a little python app to get the normal and special lotus fault codes from all modules already with the option to clear codes but it needs putting in a proper app. And to cope with different devices, I was just using a usb elm327 but could make it support passthrough as well?
I could get that going first then let people test. Will need ecus for testing anything more complicated

Can you post the code for this? As an interesting twist, I am the original author of pyOBD -- 20 years ago.

It's probably worth a new thread for this to keep on the lotus official topic.

Thanks!
But when I'm following the link at the bottom of the page I'm redirected to https://passport.lotuscars.com.cn/ but I didn't see a registration section on it.
Don't you know where could I have a registration on this portal?
Login/password from Lotus VSI are not accepted.
Don't know. I g searched your question since we don't even have the Eletre yet here in the US. I would contact them or VSI and ask your question.

Has anyone successfully loaded and used on Win11 PC?

yes, I use a win11 tablet with the software without issue
Ok great. I downloaded the exe file and clicked on it. Unfortunately mine is hanging up while trying to load the Visual C++ lib. It will start , hourglass will blink a few times and then just sit there I'm assuming this is the software client that they advise you to download before purchasing any subscriptions.
Software isn't my forte any suggestions?

Update it finally loaded on the third try after running all night.

Wait - is Lotus still using 20/20? I thought they changed to a new system?

ETA: yes, confirmed. Lotus is only using 20/20 with Evora. It will not work with Emira, (they have new diagnostic software/hardware) and Eletre is using its own entirely different Chinese diagnostic tool.
