Weekly drive today. Paused at the park surrounding the grounds of the historic Seward House in Mt Olive, NJ.

The Italianate stone farmhouse, built around 1865, was the home of Henry Clay Seward (born 1829), son of Henry Seward (born 1795), a cousin of William Henry Seward (1801–1872), who was Secretary of State during the American Civil War.

You don't want a history lesson, I'm sure...you want to see a PICTURE. :)

Nice colour. What colour is it, Lotus number if stock?
Yes, the color is original. Named "Claret", as in the wine...code A62, one of 8 North American Esprits painted in that color.
My first Lotus was an 89. I had the lower area that is black painted the body color.
We like the look of the gray paint along the bottom, Code A60 "Seal Grey".

IMO the gray or grey color sills make the design look sleeker.

BUT,

"Beauty is in the Eye of the Beer Holder" LOL.

My 87 Esprit Turbo in California. I’ve owned it for 2 years. I bought on Bring a Trailer.

The Giorgetto Giugiaro inspired designs will always be the quintessential de facto Esprit super cars IMHO. 👍
