We've had our Lotus Evora for about 2 weeks now and have been busy getting break-in miles on her. The car has been very impressing so far and we absolutely love it!

Here's a list of some of the products we'll be offering for the Evora:

  • Larini Exhaust
  • HRE Wheels
  • Brake rotors & pads
  • Suspension
  • Lightweight battery
  • CF Aero
  • Power upgrades

We also have some lifestyle products coming:

  • Car covers
  • Floor mats
  • Sun shade
  • & more!

You can follow our Evora Type 49 build on this thread as we'll be posting pictures, video & details as we go. For now, you can see what the finished product should look like below thanks to a little Forza Motorsport 3 & Photoshop magic. Click HERE to let us know if you 'Love it!' or 'Hate it!'

Our Type 49 Evora got its first upgrade this week: A Larini Sport Evora Exhaust. This exhaust is 20 lbs lighter than stock! We chose to go with the Oval tip to start, it also comes with an OE-like twin tip. This is exhaust is dead quiet at low RPMs but has a deep and aggressive note higher in the rev range.

You can hear what this exhaust sounds like HERE.

The polished pipping looks awesome through the stock diffuser!

Next up, we'll be getting our HRE wheels installed

I was wondering, are you guys working on a dead pedal that will mount in the factory location?
I like the HRE wheels, not sure about the gold color though.

I hope I'm not asking the wrong question, but, "What was wrong with the car when it looked like this??

I think maybe the car is supposed to appeal to the typical club racer crowd?
I assume the rims are a light weight rim? Lighter than the factory rim,,,??
Because they don't look better.
Wrong color.
Now if they were, say , something closer to chrome without the weight, THEN they would look better.

I'm not crazy about the striping but then, I'm not a club racer.
The club racer guys will love the striping.
The white stripe down the side of the car, in particular, does little to accent the intake vents/ducts behind the doors. It's over done. You have a series of black , red, white and my favorite of all, yellow. And they are all clashing right at the intake ducts which is one of the design features of the car considered, striking. Nothing good can come of this.
That needs to be changed immediately.
Like SOS.

And what is that silver stuff skirted around the bottom?
Appears to be some type of ground effects.
Get that SILVER OFF OF THERE. Yesterday, if not sooner.
It's white on the front of the car.
Silver around the sides?????????
Silver or white.....it matters not. Turn that part of the equation back red....like soon.

The Yellow mirrors????????? Ok now I'm sitting here saying to myself Wtf?
This is not going to be easy and I will try to be as nice about it as I possibly can. That looks like CRAP. And you know it does. So you know I'm not just being mean.
Come on man. You know we can do better than THAT with this beautiful car.

You hit your mark for the club racer.
I'd REALLY like to see what you guys can do at the other end of the spectrum.
I'm willing to bet that it would be spectacular.

We just had some stripes put on our Type 49 Evora yesterday:clap: We also have a few more bits we're developing installed on the car that we'll have more pics of soon. You may notice one of them in the last picture. Any eagle-eyed viewers spot it?

We're heading off to Laguna Seca for the Lotus Challenge Series this weekend with our Elise, Atom3 &, of course, the Evora. We're excited to show off the Evora Type 49 to the LCS racers!

it's about ankle deep in haters here...

I think the original photoshop job looks great and I hope they hit close to that. I think the gold rims indeed look BETTER than the factory ones and I'm a fan of the gold... it's not done often and done right is delicious (doesn't always have to be on a black car)

props so far! love the stripes too!

We've saved another 26+ lbs from the rear of our Evora with the new Braille Intensity 480R Lithium Ion race battery. This batter weighs just over 10 lbs! This battery performs just an OE battery at a fraction of the weight.

Battery technology is so expensive. Lithium Ion batteries are still very expensive for Radio Controlled vehicles. But without it the extra power and output of brushless motors would be pointless due to the weight of Nickel Cad. batteries. 2 Cents.

Beyond pleased that you guys didn't put the sweeping stripes from the front to the side vents.

Looks pretty good... also, you'd think Lotus would have utilized a lighter battery from the start to help the bloated weight figures.

You guys are giving me lots of great upgrade ideas! Keep up the good work!

Maybe some prices? The battery upgrade is great but I'm not sure I could muster $1900 out of my couch.. I'm rich but $1900 for a car battery is insane, even if it is lithium ion and saves you 26 lbs... The thing better last for -ever- LOL....

i agree. i'll keep the stock battery and work to get 26 lbs off my ass instead :D

The PC680T (with SAE Terminals) sells for around $140. My concern is it has only 220 CCA's. I'm not sure this is sufficient for the Evora, although at 15.4 lbs, it certainly is a much lighter alternative to the stock VARTA battery. Also, if you don't drive it every day, the reserve capacity would be depleted much quicker. It is only a 16AH SLA battery.

I love the Evora. Type 49 it is...
As far as the bronze wheels. I like them. It is a great fit for the Type 49 theme. This car should stand out. It is a marketing tool, not just a street unit.

As I will always say. "To Each His Own".

I will be checking back on the progress. Very nice!
