Set for July 23 to Aug 3, 2008. Lotus plans on unveiling the new car.

Anyone here going? I was thinking about it, but hard to justify just to check out the car. Some interesting bands from my era are playing, Meat Loaf, Alice Cooper, Blondie, Squeeze. Hmm... Could be a fun time.

I shall be there :D Can't wait :nanner:

My sister is getting married in London on July 24th, so it was easy to justify.

I'll try and get pics up timely.

Figured it would HAVE to debut for the press before the public days. Looking forward to it.

p.s. to ransack, yes that is my Noble at Tail of the Dragon. It is also something off the Internet. And yes, somebody has a Mosler.

pictures would be nice, models/cars a generous mix.

First time I saw Randy's noble avatar, that yours or something off the internet?
I want a mosler, somebody have a mosler?

Mosler headquarters is down the street from me. One of their engineers comes to our car meets and is friends with a friend of mine and brings cars with him. There was a video posted on UTube a few weeks ago of when he took people on a test drive, but it is now deleted for some reason.

Here are some pictures from when he brought it to a cookout

I got clients there so its expensable for me... but t's kinda funny how many of these acts are American: Blondie, Meatloaf, Alice Cooper... did they run out of Enlgish bands to use? hey, Oasis can't be doing anything that week. For that matter I bet Paul Weller or Stone Roses are free too.

Well kind of funny, except you named the only three American acts :thwack:

British Acts playing
UB40
Status Quo
Squeeze
Bananarama
Kid Creole
Toyah
Paul Young
Midge Ure
Deep Purple
Jools Holland
Marc Almond

US Acts playing
Blondie
Alice Cooper
Meat Loaf

BTW
Oasis have a new single out in Sept and an album in October, so they're busy finishing that up.

Paul Weller just released his new Album, "22 Dreams". It's fantastic :coolnana: so he's busy touring and promoting that.
....and here's the Stone Roses connection (that if you had read this months issue of Spin magazine you would know already).
Weller's 22 Dreams album features a spoken-word track with vocals provided by Aziz, who plays in former Stone Roses lead singer, Ian Brown's band!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the cars and the music - even the 3 American acts they allowed to play -poke-

See you there ;)

Probably because of the 4 bands I listed, those were 3 of them. I do like Squeeze a lot. Of the rest, some I would find interesting and I did enjoy their music, specially UB40, banarama, Deep Purple is reaching way back. But I would not fly somewhere to see them.

I have flown to other cities to see Alice Cooper back in the day (crazy times... but I would not do that now). I can see most of the older bands at the local casinos. Saw Blondie last year at a Casino. Saw Alice Cooper at another.

I saw Blondie at a casino too; she was in deep to the house just off the boardwalk at A City. No seriously, Squeeze were terrific, but as guitar player, I woulda gone anywhere to see the Tommy Bolin version of D Purple. But that aint gonna happen. Two summers ago, I went to London purely to see Jeff Beck. That was expensive. But worth it.

I'll be in London `til the 20th. I tried to extend my trip so that I could go to the show but no luck. :(

I'm very interested to see where the power to weight ratio ends up on the 2+2. I miss my Elise but I'm planning on replacing my Cayman S with a 4 seater and so far that has meant a decision between the GTR, M3, and 911. Would love for Lotus to bring a compelling argument to the table.
