As I read all these camshaft stories, I'm beginning to think I should just change mine. No, I havent even looked at mine. 2006 53K miles. Where can I find upgraded Cams? I don't want to get another set of OEM lotus cams, I'd rather upgrade to better aftermarket ones.

All I have read are the MWR stage 2 and 3 Cams, but it seems that you need a somewhat built motor for those. What's my best option without going back to OEM Cams on a Stock motor Elise?

Thanks!

^^^ This is the route I am going with mine. Since the intake cam is the problematic one. @turbophil can probably go into more detail. I have also attached his announcement post regarding his intake cam.

With the MWR Stage 2 cams see below taken from MWR's site. Essentially you need to upgrade the valvetrain in the head before you can run them.

**You MUST run upgraded aftermarket valve springs with these cams to avoid coil bind. You can optionally upgrade your retainers to titanium and while you’re at it, replace those problematic stock 2ZZ valves with MWR’s superior stainless steel valves.

Hope this helps.
