'07 Exige Third Brake Flasher?

OK, I've been looking for answers in the archives for the last half hour with no luck (ran out of patience).

I want to put a third brake flasher on my '07 Exige. Two questions:
1) Is the light LED or incandescent?

2) I'm looking for a module that flashes twice and stays on. Don't want to annoy people
with long flashing sequence (>2). Does anybody know where I can pick one of these up?

Appreciate you....

I have a few of the modules you are looking for. flashes rapidly for a second or two, then slower for a second or two, and then stays solid. You already have the 3rd brake light in the clam of your Exige, correct? This just goes inline with the wiring.

I wanted the same thing but most of the modules you can get easily are the 4x fast 4x slow and then on versions. I have found a few programable ones that could do the cop car two quick flashes then constant on however I haven't tested any yet. I actually work in the same building as they guys who outfit local police cars I might pop in tomorrow and ask if the flasher module they use is built into the light and if not buy a couple.

If you want I have a spare 4 fast 4 slow module that is connectorized for the Elise (assuming Exige is the same connector) you can have it for the price of shipping.

Thanks, Looks like it is LED. I'd like to hear what you find out from the neighbors. Can't do more than two flashes

The Elise 3rd brake light does not fit an Exige if I remember correctly. Elise is above the rear window and Exige is in the back of the clam under the wing? I think I have that right?

In case my Amazon link doesn't work. This is the same product.

This is what you need. I have it in my car and it's programmable down to 1 flash. If you go down to reviews Amazon, there is really good 1 star review. The guys complaint is that the instructions with unit are not correct. He posts what you need to know to program the different modes.
I believe this might be the flasher that @RapidLotus offered to sell you. He inspired me to add a flashing device to mine.
The one thing to note is that on mine I had to leave the stock jumper with resistor in line for it to work.

Talked to the neighbors the lights they use have the flashing sequence built into the light itself and communicate with each other to synchronize the flash pattern across the car. Interesting stuff but not so useful for your request but here is a link anyways Exterior Lighting - CODE 3

The link from @quattro574 looks like it will do the job, I personally am still on the hunt for one that wouldn't require programing but I might settle on the programmable one.

Thanks Fox, appreciate your asking the neighbors. I think Quattro has the right answer and will order.

Unfortunately that is not true, the Exige use a connector in the trunk, an AMP 1-962343, that connects to the 3rd brake light on the top of the transom. Below is a picture. Lucky for us Elise owners because the connector is in our trunks too. I used it to add a F1 style 3rd brake light right above my license plate. Verify the connector before you order...

I finished the 3rd brake light flasher mod. Thanks @RapidLotus. Here is a vid of the brake light in action.

Looks great! That should attract attention approaching the stop lights. Now your 3rd brake light is brighter than the tail lights.

Looks like @omeeeezzzy got pretty close to what you were looking for but not just 2 flashes. I believe he replaced the incandescent bulbs with LEDs. If you look at the picture he posted of his Exige 3rd brake light fixture you will see there are 4 removable bulb holders. Maybe @omeeeezzzy can provide the brand and bulb number he used. I sent him the flasher unit and he installed it inline to get his results. Need a flasher?
