i went through it from top to bottom with most parts replaced

had a heap of parts vapor blasted also which came up very well.

Also cut open and ported the inlet manifold and fitted an adaptor to run a 70mm toyota kluger 2gr throttle body

I have Bathurst coming up in a few weeks

I was lucky to be able to borrow a set of 15/16 ethos (I am looking for a set if anyone has some for sale??)

i have fitted them with yokohama advan a050 which will be a good improvement over the previous khumos

Very clean build looks very nice with this oem look.
I see from you first page that you have 2pot caliper front and back. They have the same piston diameter? What compound you are running front and back?

thanks

for the last 2.5 years i have been running 44mm front and rear with carbone lorraine rc6 pads front and rear.
just recently i fitted 41mm to the rear and retained the 44mm fronts, still with the same pads

it is only a very small difference in balance on the track imo

Reading some of these comments. I was wondering why on the Elise and the Exige you have to run smaller wheels in the front than the rear?

Help with the 5deg rake that the geometry runs best at. Some will run a square setup as well.

I have been chasing a brake issue for some time now, I had a very inconsistent brake pedal and very random abs behavior

Every time i entered a braking zone and hit the brakes the pedal would react a different way, from rock hard to spongey too wooden.

I decided to replace the brake master cylinder with a big bore SSC unit and replaced the abs modulator with a used unit, after being bled up by lotus and cycled correctly i have brakes back again.

tested yesterday at Winton with much success, its so nice to have a good pedal again after 6 months of working around it.

Glad to hear the good news!

What’s the advantage of a big bore master brake cylinder?

Well after losing a valve head on the freeway on the way to the track last year which totally destroyed the 2zz I decided it was a sound financial decision to do a k20 swap…..

New spec is a jdm k20a with toda cams and valve springs, RRC inlet manifold and some lovely Danny Tran 4-2-1 headers.

Gearbox is a fn2 civic type gear set in a dc5 casing with a dc5 6th gear, (5:1 final drive) and Cusco 1.5 way lsd.

also made an ecu change to a link g4x and a new aim dash.

Also changed spring rates to 700/850 and had the shocks revalved to try and improve them.

I hit a few issues along the way with the innovative mounts and insane shaft combo which meant I had to have a custom lh drive shaft made up to stop it bottoming out in the cup.

clutch and flywheel are ORC and I modified a toda sump to allow fitment of a drop in baffle also
