Beware of carlovers694@gmail.com He emailed me directly outside of the forum responding to a WTB post I made. It seemed suspicious so I asked him what his forum handle was and claimed to be Kubera. Needless to say it isn't him. He has also been found on the Pelican Parts (Porsche) forum doing the same thing.

You can PM me directly, have you ever posted your email online? This is why we stress so much here on LT about posting personal info. Once online even if deleted it will be here forever for scammers to exploit.

In a similar situation experienced by Ghia914, I received an out-of-the blue email from Tom (ownfireblade@gmail.com) directly outside of the forum responding to a For Sale post I replied to pretending to be the seller.

It seemed suspicious so I asked the For Sale poster via Lotustalk messenger if he sent an email but, of course, it wasn't him.

Unfortunately, I previously posted my email address on a For Sale reply (dumb). So don't do what I did and post your email or other personal info in a reply and always be on the look out for scammers.

Even using part of your email is a huge security risk for all members. All they have to do is add dot whatever and they have a one in five chance of reaching you. Please members think about changing your username if it's part of your email. Scammers look at WTB all the time!
