Can anyone confirm if there are air vents on the hood? I can't seem to confirm that with the photos and videos that I've seen so far. I'm curious to know if the hood design is functional or just pure cosmetics.
Are you referring to the vents on the front (bonnet)? If so, they are functional and exhaust the hot air coming off the radiator. That hot air then travels over the fender and around the windscreen. One of the great beauties of Lotus design is that design features typically have function.

My question about the hood is does it open like on the Evora to expose any fluid reservoirs or the cabin air filter? I haven’t watched and viewed everything Emira related, so maybe this has been answered somewhere else.
I'm sure the panels come off somehow; for replacements, repairs, access, etc. I think it was indicated that instead of a monolithic front clam, there's now 4 individual panels that make up the front. Haven't seen any pics or videos with any of those panels "open", but I'd imagine if the brake/clutch reservoir is still where it was on the Evoras, the middle panel would likely have to be removable for maintenance. This might be a dumb question, but the bonnet doesn’t open right? It’s sealed? I can’t seem to find any video or image of it open.
If Lotus hasn't marketed it by now, there's zero chance. Plus the A/C condenser, radiator, and HVAC unit take up the majority of the front end, so there wouldn't be much room at all for a frunk.I would be really surprised, pleasantly, but still surprised, if there is a frunk on the Emira.

I did read somewhere that the hood does open for service, but I do not have a pic or source. My question about the hood is does it open like on the Evora to expose any fluid reservoirs or the cabin air filter? The Emira's hood is not raised. It just have the side cuts to relieve the hot air from the radiator like any other traditional over the hood vent. I prefer the tradition over the hood vent than this design.I have not seen the Emira in person yet but will likely get a FE. My question involved the raised hood. It is the only section that IMHO detracts from the design. It is functional?
I certain that you can add the brake/clutch fluids, washer fluid and replace the cabin filter from the frunk.I did read somewhere that the hood does open for service, but I do not have a pic or source.
The hood/bonnet will open. However it tilts up from the windscreen side (similar to the little Evora cover) on front mounted hinges near the front bumper. This will give much better access to the internal fans/radiators and for washer fluid / brake oil etc. given its size. This might be a dumb question, but the bonnet doesn’t open right? It’s sealed? I can’t seem to find any video or image of it open.
I know the answer to that! Yes the front body work opens! My question about the hood is does it open like on the Evora to expose any fluid reservoirs or the cabin air filter? I haven’t watched and viewed everything Emira related, so maybe this has been answered somewhere else.
Russell Carr confirmed that there is unfortunately no frunk. (Harry's video)Yea, that's my understanding as well. It would be a big surprise if they managed to put a frunk in there and then "forgot" to tell us about it.
