The performance of my new Elise has surpassed my expectations, and done so without the intense cabin heat the I remember being roasted by in the Europa.
I thought roasting in the cabin was part of the Lotus charm. rotfl I could never tolerate that.

I'm glad you enjoy the car. My wait will soon be over. At least now I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Then I'll go right back in the tunnel on the 2nd cam. LOL!

What an Elise would be if it lost 500lbs

Its my 1970 Alpine Renault A110 1600S. It occurred to me I never posted a pick of our Elise on this thread so here's a recent pic along with the Berlinette. Anybody else own one?

I really like that colour of red. That was among my top choices.
I almost bought BRG one at Portland, but the Nightfall Blue with blue interior just looked too good.
Of course ,it is my 4th blue Lotus...

Want to shout out to the ATL boys that there's another Elise in town!
(Well, 2 hours south of town.)
Just picked up my 2005. Only garage picks so far, too hard to actually get out of the car to take a photo just yet, but I'm learning.

The A048's on the extra set of wheels are so sticky, I'd hate to waste them on the road. So I may use them as track wheels. But they really look good on the car...

I don't think I posted mine here, so here goes. I got it from Mark@HRM last month and it already has 2000 miles :)

I added the Union Flags last weekend.
Hey Buzzy,
Given your accent, we'll allow the Union Jack............

After many months of study, shopping and some procrastination....we have our elise. A plastic surgeon in Fargo SD bought it from the dealer in St. Paul MN, drove it home, maybe had it out once or twice and he got a bad back and couldn't drive it any longer. So, she has 500 miles on it....got delivered (in the rain) this week from St. Paul to Michigan and I hope to get it out today for a ride. I bought it from cross town luxury motors in St. Paul - great store!

Thanks for all the advice and good reading.

suffering permagrin

Hi All,

It starts to hurt. Permagrin :D

Well - the car turned out to be everything I had hoped for. Exhilarating.
Put about 100 miles on it during the last three days. All is fine - no issues, just a blast to drive.

Delivery was a good experience with the guys at Aston Martin / NE.

By the way - yesterday, 16 Sep 06, I saw a black Exige going West on Rte 20 through Weston. Is that the car that was just sold by Aston Martin / NE ?

Best regards

matthias
