Is anyone running a set of these? If so, what's your opinion? I'm looking for something for 100% street use.

from other threads I have read its a very nice setup for street with occasional track use (slightly better than the track pack coilovers from the factory)... also very affordable compared to other options on the market

they will be my Sachs replacements when the time comes... so I say get them & let us know how you like them

I just bought some. I am going to use them for street. I had springs / dampers spec'd from elise parts. I went with 250f and 350r. This is slightly stiffer than LSS but softer than exige. I have not installed yet. They look nice.

Poor Man's Hub Stands

I was installing my Zeros today and used my Hub Stands to get everything dialed in. It makes is much easier to adjust ride height with the wheels off on all four corners.

Now just gotta go take it for a test drive.

Please give a report when you can.

Forgot to ask. Did it come with new shock mounts or does it use the old one?
Understanding that I came from the Touring suspension, this is definitely stiffer. Not a lot, but noticeable. Under normal road going daily activity, running out and about, they seem very livable. Less nose dive under braking and flatter cornering. with that said, it is no more upsetting than original (to a point).

The difference being, since these shocks have rose joints (not rubber bushings), when exiting a road into a parking lot or slight uneven road difference, there is more noise. I do expect that, being there will be trade offs.

Only 2 days of testing and that is my initial thoughts so far.

The shocks do not come with shock mounts included in the price but they do have them available for separate purchase. I did purchase them but did not use use as the stock mounts were in more than fine conditions. I also purchased the perch adjustment tool, which I did use for set-up with my hub stands.

So the shock fits into the stock shock mounts? I think the problem people were having with the single adjustables were that the shock body was too big and they either had to widen the stock mount or get wider ones.

Yes these fit the stock shock mounts. It's close, but it has clearance. Marked in blue so you can see where it "might" touch. In the photo, it looks like it is touching but if the photo was taken at a different angle, you would see there is about 1/16" clearance on each end.

It does not touch. There is no noise coming from this area. If there was, it would scratch the anodize on the shock. This has not happened.

The way the suspension geometry is on our cars, under full unloaded condition, it's as close to the bracket as it can possibly be. Thats what the photo is above, unloaded condition and still has clearance. As the shock is put under load, it starts to pivot away from the bracket.

I'm watching this one closely. I'm picking up my "new to me" Elise April 2nd and it has a set of these installed. I'll probably continue to use them for a year to get the feel of the car before eventually upgrading to Penske double or Nitron triples.
