So as most of you know, @RapidLotus has been designing and making aftermarket parts for our Elige platform. I was talking to him awhile back about my tail lights. I have GRP’s that I absolutely love. While I was waiting for the purchase of my Blue Meanie, I spent a crapload of time staring at the picture of her a$$ at night with the brake lights on. Love love love them tails!

However, in bright sunlight they can be a bit dim. On two occasions, I’ve had people pull up next to me at stoplights telling me my tail lights ain’t working. Get home and check and no issue.

So I was talking to @RapidLotus, as I was saying, about this issue. Well, my man got to work and sent me a 3rd brake light replacement. It’s a bit narrower than the factory one, but it flashes….flash, flash, flash, blinks…blinky, blinky, blink, and then goes solid on. Really draws attention to the fact that you’re braking. I absolutely love it!

First video ain’t the best….

2nd vid is much better. At a clam off party for me and @Region_Rat. (He’s letting me store the Meanie over winter and we’re working on stuff together) Didn’t realize I was in reverse, but good show of the light.

Thanks Rapid! Love this thing! Feel way safer!

On edit: Forgot to say, totally plug and play. Took me 10 minutes.

Out of curiosity, does the bulb turn all the way off when it is flashing or does it dim to a very low amount? I only ask so you don’t get pinched by a LEO. My understanding is there’s a difference between a pulsing light and a flashing light. Pulsing never truly turns off and these are legal for brake lights including the center light. Flashing lights that fully turn off are reserved for turn signals and can only be used on lights used for turn signals and hazard lights. If a LEO is really up on his specs, this small difference could change the legality of a flashing light.

That said, fully agree that these pulsing center lights help with visibility especially when traffic builds up on highways. Overall, I like it.

Sorry all, I have been on a cruise and have not added this to my personal site. PM me if interested! I'm a little slow with doing updates but should have some time once the Orion Capsule lands on December 11th and I get my Emira Test Drive done on the 12th. Anyone have any special requests for photos or opinions on any features? Same as all others, I only get 15 minutes to drive but I will be trying to maximize the enjoyment and information gathering.
