The stuff that goes on satellites (and made by aerospace companies) has gold in it. And you need gold to buy it! :crazyeyes

The most important thing is the radiant heat rejection... this stuff is 80%, which compares well with any of the racing stuff I've been able to find. This stuff does the job at a reasonable price.

Ara - if you are trying to melt it down for your gold tooth, it isn't going to work!

The first person that does that gets a :thwack: from Roseanne Barr.

If you covered your windows with it, you could beat the Florida heat, though.

So, why wouldn't we go buy this stuff cheaper from any of the many widely known parts houses?

I mean, you're not "adding any value" to an existing product on the market - right?

It doesn't seem like you are custom cutting it for the Elise.

I also don't see how this belongs in the General forum...

Customers have been requesting it, so we are now providing it. And yes, it is very custom fit when it is incorporated into the RLS heat shield products. I'm offering it in bulk as a service, and shipping for free when purchased w/ something else. As far as I can see, the price is quite competitive. If it is out of line, I will consider modifying the price.

My research lead to this material for price and performance, and I'm sharing that w/ the forum. Our profit is a few bucks a sheet, so nobody is getting rich here.

As to which forum it belongs in, that is certainly a valid question. If a moderator would like it elsewhere, I welcome the move. RLS is a site sponsor, FWIW. We aren't freeloaders.
