Question,

Why is the ShiftR111+ so tall. Has anyone ever shortened it? Pro's and con's? Just seems so tall and in turn lengthens the throws. I was looking at it to find a way to shorten it if possible

@shinoo ?

Not sure what you are talking about. The shiftr111+ is the same if not slightly shorter than the oem shifter (just measured myself). If you want to adjust the throw, your going to need to do it at the linkage with something like the Letsla.

I suppose in theory if you wanted to reduce the height of the shifter overall the only place would be the shaft, here is picture below I could find. I don't think it would be worth the hassle personally.

It's for high performance driving or racing. You want the shifter relatively close to the steering wheel. If you want to shorten the a the actual shift throws, then you can do it at the transmission side with aftermarket linkages.

It is not higher. We tried to keep it close to stock. It may appear higher in pictures - especially when naked.

Have you tried one? The gearknob location is as expected - right where you want it. :)

If you want a shorter throw, doing it at the trans linkage like our kit: HERE is what we recommend.
