Sterling, Illinois

I’m selling this 05 Elise that is about 80 percent complete, I just don’t have the time or resources in my area to finish it Car runs and drives and has 50 k miles on it , title is a REAL title not salvage PARTS NEEDED TO FINISH
driver headlight, I actually have some headlights just no lens or black bucket
Hardware for the hardtop, I was just going to buy a soft top complete so I didn’t have to use this roof 🤷‍♂️
Needs something done to crash structure, needs a door sill panel, this one is cracked and I would say seats and door panels could be redone or replaced, I’m very open to suggestions or if I’m asking too much just be honest, I’m over 30k deep in this car so I think my price is fair but wanted to give this forum first chance since everyone on here has been really helpful and sold me a lot of parts for this project with no problems , if needed I can take several pics of exact areas just lmk Cheers guys have a great day 🍻

Hey there, I’ve owned the car since 2019 , I bought it being told that it needed a headlight and new clam , car showed up and needed much more, title is regular with an accident report on car fax but im with you , I have no idea how they maintained a reg title with clam damage, I already bought painted and completed the new replacement clam and when we pulled the old off , noticed structure damage that was fixed so I wasn’t willing to put it all back together like a HACK and not fix the car the correct way,

What @Node said. Clam damage doesn't total cars as easily as it used to since insurance can just push to have it repaired. I have had mine repaired several times now for much less than it'd take to total it. You don't have to accept less money or anything like that, it is just a bog-standard repair that shows up on CarFax if the repairing shop chooses to report it.

Posting some photos of the car for LotusRookie to help him as I chatted with him. He mentioned that the front crush structure might need some work, and since he or I are not the Elise expert, we weren't sure what should look like what under the front clamshell.

steering arm is bad there I think in the first pic?, which to me means all new consumables in that corner + steering rack + check the control arms for straightness.

The radiator surround and crash structure ARE damaged, but they could be lived with like that.
