Federal cars have the instrument pack programmed for Fahrenheit and can not be changed. I wonder if you have a Canadian version.

Car was purchased new from Newport European located in Southern California I'm certain it is a fed car since the ecu has Fed written on it and it originally displayed in Fahrenheit. The Display just recently changed to Celsius after charging the battery. I also noticed that some tell tale lights have changed as well. Instead of BRAKE it now shows a red exclamation mark when it is engaged.

Recalibrate the driver.
Water boils at 100C and freezes at 0C.
So keep it around 80 to 90 C.

 

The cluster is programmed based on VIN definition, there have had some cases where as a result of the battery going flat the pack looses its memory and needs to have the correct VIN re-entered, this will need to be done by a Lotus Dealer using Tech Centre. Also ask the dealer to check the instrument pack software level as per Service Bulletin 2008/12.
