Anyone have problems activating traffic lights???
I was pulled up to a light today in my exige and waited for a long time, cars piling up behind me, and the light wouldn’t change to green 🤷🏻‍♂️. Eventually I just turned right and turned around on another street.

just curious if anyone has had problems with traffic lights recognizing lotus before? Or possible tips to help if I run into this again?

Have it all the time in my small cars. Generally the road sensor is inductive and needs an amount of ferrous metal. Since ours cars are mostly aluminium and fibreglass its hard to trigger them.
Ive found getting the subframe over it works (on my regular lights ive got it down but still get stuck at others)

+1 for the magnet, just stick a proper big neodymium magnet some where low and towards the front for the magnetic filed detectors. Rear engine should trigger if you're far enough forward.

Some states have a “Dead Red” law which allows one to run a red light if it does not recognize that you are there.
It happens on my bikes rather often. If it goes through a couple cycles without changing for me I’ll cautiously proceed. Or I just go right and pull a quick u-turn and then another right. From a distance this may look like a single move but I assure you that it is actually 3 separate and legal maneuvers.

At least in VA they have a law that allows you to run a red if it passes over you for a few cycles on a bike. Not sure if such an exception exists for cars, but it could be something to check if this is a common problem for you in your state
