The shift knob most are using on the Evora are actually taken from an Exige (not the V6 Cup) and can be purchases through Lotus.

Does anyone know of a leather-covered, round one that works in our cars? I find the rock-hard, egg-shaped OEM one to be really uncomfortable in my hand. I don't want all-metal. Thanks.

I want one that's like my 350Z or even the Boxster. Both of those knobs are way more comfortable for long drives with frequent shifting. Anyone seen anything similar that would work?

It's funny you posted that as I remember really loving the feel of my 350z shift knob. In fact when I totalled the car on track and sold it for scrap the only thing I kept from it was the shift knob. When the guy that bought the scrap from me asked "I noticed the shift knob was missing, do you know where it is?" Why yes, yes I do - it's on my desk where it will stay as a memorial!

And while I don't like the look of the Boxster shift knob you'er right that it has a really nice feel. I do like the ball in the Exige but it definitely can get either hot or cold depending on ambien/sun temps. An old Lemons racer I had used an elongated knob like you're asking about and it was pretty comfortable.

Let us know what you find...

Companies like MOMO make all kinds of shifter knobs with universal attachments, take a look at those and you can probably find something. Since the EVORA has the shift pattern below the shifter, you don't need one with a pattern.
